My Biodraft

Early Days

Born and raised in Salisbury, England I was fortunate to spend my childhood in a city dominated by a majestic medieval cathedral. At 18, I went to University and earned a BSc. in Geography from the University of London. Upon graduation, I moved to the United States completing a MS. in Geography at Oklahoma State University. I spent two additional years doing advanced graduate work at the University of Florida.

My academic focus resulted in a job in the golf industry. Initially I was a research analyst then a consultant with the National Golf Foundation. Later I became a loan officer with Textron Financial Corporation evaluating golf mortgage loans in the US, Mexico, England, and Australia.

Real Estate Philosophy

I’ve been a realtor since 2014, first in Atlanta and now in Rhode Island. I’m currently licensed both here and in Massachusetts.

Buying or selling a home is a dynamic process that changes with the market and with each client’s unique needs. I use a data-driven approach to ensure my clients make the best informed decisions. I take pride in being a good listener and staying flexible as, and when, things change.

My responsibilities helping buyers find the right home at the right price or assisting sellers get the best value are paramount and personal.

“Me” Time

Outside of work, I enjoy walking with my wife and our dogs, Bielsa and Murphy. Newport has so many great places to explore;  downtown, the beaches, the Cliff Walk or Ocean Drive. I’ve created an Instagram photo journal that shares the beauty and variety of the City by the Sea (#NewportStaycationDays).

To get around Aquidneck Island I ride a 1977 Triumph motorcycle or a Vespa. While I am biased I believe there’s no better way to see some spectacular scenery particularly Ocean Drive.

If I’m not working, walking, or riding, you’ll likely find me playing pétanque, a french pastime similar to Bocce. I’m always up for a friendly game.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

In the last six years I have combined my love of riding motorcycles with a charity about which I care deeply.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride unites riders of classic and vintage styled motorcycles in cities all over the world raising funds and awareness of prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

Founded in Australia, the DGR was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle wearing his finest suit. A “distinguished” ride has proved to be a great way of connecting motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men living with these issues. Since 2012 the DGR has raised peoples’ awareness with the help of more than half a million riders in more than 1,000 cities in 121 countries. To date more than $60 million has been raised for treatment, research and programs in support of men’s physical and mental health. 2026 marks the 15th anniversary of the ride and the 10th anniversary for the ride in Newport. It’s a huge milestone!

Next year I’ll be hosting the Newport event for the third time. This year we had over 130 classic motorcycles participate and raised more than $18,000. For more information please click on this link.

A Little Obsession

One issue: I am a lifelong fan of Leeds United Football Club. I have invested more emotional energy into their “ups and downs” than I’d care to admit. They currently play in the English Premier League, and yes—I follow every match. #MOT
